Shadow Puppetry

The Confucius Institute at the University of Minnesota is excited to present a shadow puppetry program. This class will cover shadow puppet history and basic puppetry design and use. Participants will take home the puppet that they will make at the end of the two-day workshop. Those who are 10 and older are welcome.

The instructor is Annie Katsura Rollins, an MFA candidate in theater, set design, and puppetry. She studied Chinese shadow puppetry with the Hua Xian Shadow Puppet Troupe in Hua Xian, China.
